Corston Claremont Medium Wall Light Fine Porcelain

SKU: Antique Brass 12427

The dual design of our Claremont medium wall light provides both up and down light from two fine porcelain shades. Like the small single shade version, the streamlined silhouette looks great in both classic and contemporary homes. Use on either side of a bathroom mirror, or to illuminate wall art or architectural features. The fine porcelain shades provide a warm, atmospheric glow with absolutely no glare. Unlike our fluted glass style, we’ve left the shades open rather than sealing them (we think it creates a nicer light). It means this version of our Claremont medium wall light isn’t suitable for outdoor use. Antique Brass is what’s called a ‘living’ finish because it reacts to the air and moisture around it, causing it to darken (especially in the areas you touch it most). We’ve given it a head start by ageing it by hand, so it has that antique look right out the box.

Frequently asked questions

There are various types of wall lights, including sconces, uplights, downlights, picture lights, and adjustable or swing-arm lights. Each type serves a different purpose and design aesthetic.

Wall lights can be used in various settings, including living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces. They are versatile and can provide both functional and decorative lighting.

Consider the purpose (ambient, task, or accent lighting), style and design to match your décor, the light output (lumens), and whether you need features like dimmability or adjustability.

Many wall lights are dimmable, but you need to ensure that both the light fixture and the bulb used are compatible with dimmer switches. Check the product specifications for dimmability.

The height for installing wall lights depends on their purpose. Generally, wall lights should be mounted about 5 to 6 feet above the floor. For bedside lights, they should be installed at a comfortable reading height.
